While attending a wedding event last year in Raleigh, I was fortunate enough to meet Donna, the publisher and founder of Heart of NC Weddings. Shortly later I had the opportunity to meet her daughter and business partner, Jenna, who works as the editorial director of the magazine. I should share that I’m a “recent” transplant from Los Angeles so I was very excited to be welcomed into the local wedding community by these amazing women. They also honored me with the opportunity to shoot the 2020 edition of their Wedding Floral Editorial featuring five beautifully designed floral concepts by five of local florist.

Heather from Eclectic Sage is in a league of her own. A true creative. Her centerpieces and bouquets are breathtakingly gorgeous, but her staircase installation is a stunning piece all on its own. This is the fall color palette that I dream of….terracota, ivory, and rusty red hues. It’s a perfect complement to southern chic wedding in the countryside, specifically you plan to wed at the Historic Wakefield Barn.

In addition to the florist, many other creatives and vendors contributed to this shoot to create magic. And stay tuned. I will be posting four new editorials over the course of the next several weeks to showcase the other four amazing floral designers that I had the honor of working with.
